Prior to this, he spent three years working as an independent support worker for a young boy with a disability \u2014 a role he balanced alongside his studies until completing Year 12 in 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What initially drew Liam to the disability sector was the opportunity to form meaningful, one-on-one connections. \u201cIt\u2019s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact you can have on someone\u2019s life.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cOne of the things I\u2019ve really enjoyed is how welcoming and supportive everyone has been &#8211; the leadership team and staff are really approachable, which has made settling in so easy.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting on his journey, Liam shares \u201cworking in this field has helped me discover strengths I didn\u2019t know I had. It\u2019s given me a much deeper understanding of what empathy looks like and I love the fact that every client teaches you something new about patience, communication and perspective.\u202f\u201c\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, Liam plans to begin his deferred university studies in social work in 2026, building on the valuable experience he\u2019s gained at CLRS.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Liam joined CLRS in April 2025 as a Direct Support Professional.
